IN OUR COMMUNITY
It takes a community.
And people willing to help.
My connection to Kamloops is personal. It’s on the soccer field, in our neighbourhoods and in the conversations that help us understand each other.
More ways to belong.
As a volunteer soccer coach and a father, I see how much accessible recreation means to families. I also know community life goes well beyond sports.
I want to explore affordable activities, shared school and community spaces, and facilities that serve more than one purpose. Ideas need realistic funding, partnerships and a plan for ongoing maintenance.
Showing up matters.
From helping clean up the Stuart Wood court to talking with residents at forums and meet-and-greets, I believe involvement starts with showing up.
Understanding the challenges.
I spent three hours touring CMHA facilities, including an emergency shelter, transition housing and supportive housing. Those conversations helped me better understand the different services and the gaps people face.
I want to work with community organizations, businesses, residents and Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc to find practical ways forward.
